Red Squirrels, Roe Deer and Ospreys are our neighbours, and many more besides.   The wildflowers can be breathtaking.   Balbeagan is within reach of many Highland Reserves - there is one just across the road!

Your hosts are keen wildlife watchers and can recommend sites for the Highland Specialities such as Ptarmigan, Dotterel, Golden Eagle, Crossbills, Crested Tits, Peregrine Falcons, Mountain Hare, Red Squirrel and many wildflowers.   The less common species are often to be found some distance from the road, so you will need to walk to find them.
